Hello, I’m Alma Ortiz, the director of Nana’s Playhouse, and my journey in childcare began in 2016. It all started with caring for my own grandchildren, and as time went on, I discovered a genuine passion for working with children. This realization led me to open Nana’s Playhouse to the public. Over the years, I’ve found great joy in nurturing and guiding the young minds entrusted to my care. Working with various families has allowed me to recognize my inherent talent and pride in the field of childcare. At Nana’s Playhouse, we prioritize each student’s educational growth, taking their development seriously. Simultaneously, we create an environment where every child feels like a cherished family member. Fostering a sense of comfort and warmth is essential to us, ensuring that both children and their families feel welcomed and valued in our program.

Hola, soy Alma Ortiz, la directora de Nana’s Playhouse, y mi experiencia en el cuidado de niños comenzó en 2016. Todo comenzó cuidando a mis propios nietos, y con el tiempo, descubrí una verdadera pasión por trabajar con niños. Esta revelación me llevó a abrir las puertas de Nana’s Playhouse al público. A lo largo de los años, he encontrado una gran alegría en nutrir y guiar las mentes jóvenes que se me confían. Trabajar con diversas familias me ha permitido reconocer mi talento innato y el orgullo que siento en el campo del cuidado infantil. Philosophy

Our philosophy at the early childcare facility revolves around the significance of play in healthy brain development and child interactions. Play not only allows infants and toddlers to explore, practice adult roles, and build relationships but also brings deep joy to both children and adults. Children learn best through active play and exploration. We provide opportunities for them to observe, form hypotheses, test them out, and formulate their own responses. All types of play, including manipulative, games, rough and tumble, and socio-dramatic play, offer children the chance to experiment, observe, and learn. High-level play acts as a tool for self-assistance, enabling children to achieve higher levels of cognitive functioning. We encourage children to discover nature and explore different ways to use their play materials while simultaneously guiding them to ensure their games are enjoyable, educational, and safe.

Welcome to Nana’s Playhouse, where we prioritize the growth and joy of every child in our care. In our cozy space, we have one large room entirely dedicated to our engaging and educational programs. This room is cleverly divided into distinct learning areas, each catering to specific developmental focuses such as reading, math, and the alphabet. Our goal is to create an environment that stimulates curiosity and supports learning in a fun and interactive way. Beyond our indoor space, we are fortunate to have a spacious backyard where our students can stretch their legs, run around, and relish the invigorating fresh air. At Nana’s Playhouse, we are committed to providing a holistic and enriching experience for your little ones as they embark on their journey of discovery and growth.

Bienvenido a Nana’s Playhouse, donde priorizamos el crecimiento y la alegría de cada niño bajo nuestro cuidado. En nuestro acogedor espacio, contamos con una amplia sala dedicada por completo a nuestros programas educativos y atractivos. Esta sala está hábilmente dividida en áreas de aprendizaje distintas, cada una enfocada en aspectos específicos del desarrollo como lectura, matemáticas y el alfabeto. Nuestra meta es crear un ambiente que estimule la curiosidad y respalde el aprendizaje de una manera divertida e interactiva. Más allá de nuestro espacio interior, tenemos la suerte de contar con un amplio patio trasero donde nuestros estudiantes pueden estirar sus piernas, correr y disfrutar del revitalizante aire fresco. About our program

Nana’s Playhouse holds a special place in my heart as a small program that has blossomed into a licensed home. Despite its modest size, our playhouse is a warm and inviting haven for little ones, marked by a perfect blend of learning, joy, safety, and, most importantly, love. As the proud grandmother at the helm, I extend the comforting embrace of familial care to children and their families. In this nurturing environment, not only do young ones receive the tender love and support akin to that of a grandmother, but they also benefit from the expertise of a certified early childhood educator. It’s a harmonious fusion of familial warmth and educational guidance, creating a space where children can thrive, learn, and feel cherished every step of the way.

Nana’s Playhouse tiene un lugar especial en mi corazón como un pequeño programa que ha florecido hasta convertirse en un hogar con licencia. A pesar de su tamaño modesto, nuestro hogar de juegos es un refugio cálido y acogedor para los pequeños, marcado por una mezcla perfecta de aprendizaje, alegría, seguridad y, lo más importante, amor. Como orgullosa abuela al mando, ofrezco el abrazo reconfortante del cuidado familiar a los niños y sus familias. En este entorno de crianza, los más pequeños no solo reciben el amor y apoyo tierno semejante al de una abuela, sino que también se benefician de la experiencia de una educadora certificada en la primera infancia. 2. Tour our program

Come see what makes Nana’s Daycare unique. If we are currently hosting tours, you can request or schedule a tour at the top of this page. If we are not currently hosting tours, you’ll see a “Request Info” button at the top of this page; if you submit your information using this button, we will notify you when we start host tours again in the future.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application at www.wonderschool.com/nana-s-daycare-7687/apply – note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
