Our Teachers
Hello, welcome to our program! My name is Chrystal Medina, the director of Children’s Playhouse Childcare Center. I have a Child Development Certificate from Doña Ana Community College, as well as an Associate of Arts in Computer Technology. I have been caring for young children for 5 years professionally and am also a parent of 2 children. I am passionate about early education and truly love having an impact on the earliest stage of children’s academic lives. I am excited to meet you and provide your children with the highest quality care and education.
Philosophy
At Children’s Playhouse Childcare Center, we follow a play-based philosophy, which is a non-academic approach to developing skills designed to provide a firm foundation for later academic success. We help your child develop feelings of security, accomplishment, and self-esteem while living the daily and weekly rhythms that are woven into the cycle of the year. On any given day, we may enjoy art, storytelling, movement, and local excursions to experience the world around us. Children are encouraged to explore and learn through unstructured play, which fosters lifelong creativity and intellectual curiosity.
Location
Children’s Playhouse Childcare Center is located in Las Cruces off Solano Drive. We are accessible through car and bus for public transport options.
Our school has been thoughtful designed to provide a safe and fun learning environment for your children. We have plenty of space for children to engage in learning and exploring, arts and crafts, as well as rest time, and provide supervised outdoor play time in our three outdoor play areas, each designated for different age groups.
About our program
Our program prioritizes outdoor play, allowing kids to play daily in one of our three beautiful playground - one for infant/toddler, one for preschool, and one for school-aged children. We serve English and Spanish speaking families.
