Our Teachers

Our dedicated staff consists of five lead teachers, six educational assistants, our music teacher, our director, and our office administrator.
The longevity of the staff speaks for itself. Staff members have been at St. Luke for an average of 5 years – some for over 20 years! This longevity results in a stable and consistent environment for learning and facilitates an excellent team approach to child development.
Our educators have either a degree in early childhood or a related field, a Child Development Associate Degree, or are in the process of earning a degree. The teaching teams plan together and share the responsibility of providing a high quality program. Staff members participate in ongoing professional development.

Philosophy

Our program is Christ-centered and welcomes families from all expressions of faith. Our overarching goal is to provide a nurturing Christian environment where our children experience God’s love while developing a life-long love of learning and life in community. Young children learn and develop most naturally when they are involved in activities that meet their needs. All children are unique with their own individual needs, but they also share common developmental needs by age and by stage. Children grow and learn through active hands-on play that is open-ended and process-oriented. Licensed for children ages 2-5, we are an inclusive program that welcomes all families and all children. Equal access of services is provided regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, or age.

Location

Our location is close to major highways and convenient to most parts of ABQ within a short 10-25 minute commute.
