Rena Aragon, Director
Rena graduated from the University of New Mexico in 2023 with a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. She has since served the community providing direct services to families in the Albuquerque area as a pediatric occupational therapist. She is passionate about neuro-motor development that includes a play-based approach to boost both fine and gross motor skills while promoting their individual growth and independence. She believes a home-based day care provides a family friendly approach where children can build positive social skills by keeping the class sizes small.
Philosophy
Young children learn best through active, hands-on experiences with the world around them, including time with caregivers, peers, and nature. Their learning builds gradually, drawing on past experiences and developing at their own unique pace. Activities are thoughtfully designed to support growth in all areas—physical, social, emotional, and cognitive—through play and exploration. Because each child is different, they may show a variety of skills at any given time. Learning is most effective when it connects different areas of development, reflects the child’s cultural background, and includes strong support from families and caregivers. With the right guidance and encouragement, every child can reach their full potential.
Location
We are nestled in the North Valley in the Alvarado Elementary School District. Close to the beautiful Los Poblanos Open Space, which is perfect for nature walks.
