Our Teachers
We have worked with kids for 15 years. Our teachers are either pursuing their early childhood education degree or have obtained their degree. We consistently attend trainings so that we can bring the best strategies to our kids.

Philosophy
The Chaparral Family Development Center’s philosophy centers around recognizing children’s predictable growth stages, fostering their individuality and cultural heritage, and providing a stimulating and respectful environment to enhance their potential for learning. In addition, the center’s holistic approach emphasizes play-based learning, bilingualism, exploration, creativity, and language acquisition to cultivate a solid foundation for lifelong learning. Play is seen as essential for children’s cognitive, emotional, and social development, while bilingualism promotes language diversity and cross-cultural understanding, preparing children for a multicultural society.

About our program
The CFDC includes a 5-Star, Pre-K Program that operates under the auspices of the Children, Youth, and Families Department (CYFD), Early Childhood Education (ECE) Program. The 5-Star rating provides the highest quality of early learning experience for the children in the community, while providing the teaching staff opportunities—all residents of Chaparral– for professional development in ECE. The CFDC serves over 50 children and families on a monthly basis. With the Extended Pre-Kinder Programs, the CFDC serves 80 families during any given academic year.
The CFDC provides a complete bilingual and bicultural variety of services for infants, toddlers, and children to assure they are ready and familiarized with the routines of school. The Center offers a family-style atmosphere and provides a rigorous academic curriculum geared to help children make a smooth transition to regular school.
