Our Teachers
Charles N Brown has a Masters in the Art of Teaching, he has owned and operated his own five star in home daycare of 16 years, he has worked with all aspects of children from six weeks to 13-year old’s. He is highly passionate about teaching all children the building blocks of education and is also the program coordinator. I am also required to take PRE-K trainings and keep current with those requirements. I also have a Professional development plan on file that’s updated when needed.
Philosophy
Nathan’s Home Child Care’s philosophy emphasizes creating a positive and motivational environment where children are encouraged to reach their full developmental potential. They focus on promoting understanding of high-quality early childhood programs, supporting self-reflection, utilizing information for curriculum improvement, continuously enhancing services, acknowledging unique assets and cultural strengths, ensuring diverse and well-educated staff, and implementing practices respectful and responsive to each child and family. Additionally, they prioritize outdoor play, marked areas for development, proper nutrition, and structured mealtimes in two main rooms within the childcare setting.

Charles or Nathan and his staff provide a family day care services for children 6 weeks to 12 years old before and after school ++from 7:00am to 9:00pm, 5 days a week*++. The services include meals, reading, writing, singing, projects, and a variety of other learning activities. As well as promoting every child to reach their fullest potential through using different resources such as AGES AND STAGES, lesson plans, and portfolios to place and guide the progress of our learners. After hour care and Night care is offered if approved before the child attends care. (STATE QUALIFED MUST HAVE PLACEMENT WITH HOURS NOTED)

Admissions
Join the Nathan’s Home childcare and 5 star accredited and pre-K program community in four easy steps:
1. Explore our website
We’ve provided information about our philosophies and offerings to help you decide if our program may be right for your family. Then reach out to your local ECECD office for childcare assistance. (This is a required step applying for ECECD childcare assistance since the state is currently paying at 400%)
2. Tour our program usually on Fridays
Come see what makes Nathan’s Home childcare and 5 star accredited and pre-K program unique. If we are currently hosting tours, you can request or schedule a tour at the top of this page. If we are not currently hosting tours, you’ll see a “Request Info” button at the top of this page; if you submit your information using this button, we will notify you when we start host tours again in the future.
3. Submit an Enrollment Application that you get during the tour
If you would like to enroll, please submit an application at www.wonderschool.com/nathan-s-home-childcare-and-5-star-accredited-and-pre-k-program-7528/apply – note that we do not require tours for all prospective families.
4. Enroll/Wait on state assistance approval
After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook. The state is usually about 14 day waiting period before approval so we ask that you apply immediately.
