Our Teachers

Anthony Rega

Anthony is the Director and Main Teacher at Little Minds. He holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and Is passionate about caring for and teaching children. Prior to this career field, Anthony was an Airman, Non-commissioned officer, and a Civilian in the United States Air Force. Anthony has also earned degrees in Business, Marketing, Human Resource Management, and Communication. Anthony considers himself I life-long student and hopes to instill that desire in your child.

Anthony is Certified in:

  1. CPR and First Aid: With our CPR and first aid certification, you can trust that your little ones are in capable hands. In case of any emergencies, we’re trained to respond quickly and provide the necessary care. We understand the importance of being prepared, and that’s why we’ve made it a priority to be certified. Rest assured, we’re here to keep your children safe and secure.

  2. Early Childhood Education: Our team is proud to have a degree in early childhood education, ensuring that your child receives the best possible start in their educational journey. With our expertise, we create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes growth, development, and a love for learning.

Mercedes Albert

Mercedes has two years of experience working in the childcare industry. A mother to a newborn and a school-aged child herself, Mercedes is naturally attentive to the needs of your children as well. Mercedes is currently working on her degree for Early Childhood Education and is a main provider at Little Minds. Mercedes’s hobbies include creative arts and attending the many sports games her son participates in.

Little Minds Daycare is a Family Child Care Group Home licensed under NMAC 8.16.2.31. We are authorized to care for up to 12 children at one time. Our childcare providers and volunteers have undergone extensive criminal background record checks. This thorough investigation includes fingerprints, employment history, and all criminal records.

Our home undergoes an annual fire investigation by the Roosevelt County Fire Marshal to ensure that our home meets the requirements as outlined in 8.8.3 NMAC. Our home is Zoned and approved by Roosevelt Court Plans/Zoning Officer. Finally, our home receives semi-annual and periodic (random) inspections from our licensing authority.
