Ms. Samantha Preston Director I have 25+ years of experience in childcare. I was born and raised here in Portales. I’ve worked with all ages from birth to school age children. I love watching kids grow and learn. I have years of training and countless certifications.

Philosophy

Playing is an essential Part of early learning it’s the life blood of the learning process. As children play, they are developing their cognitive social, emotional and physical skills. They need to thrive they will develop thcuriosity problem solving vocabulary and non vocabulary skills playing with others. They will develop confidence, cooperation, negotiation, sharing, empathy, and how to overall communicate with others. Physically they will develop their fine motor and gross motor skills. I believe That children need Is space to grow and learn on their own But also need the guidance of a trusted caregiver. Children need a healthy balance of freedom and boundaries. This helps them to be prepared for a smooth transition to kindergarten.

About our program

Mission Statement. The Little Farmhouse LLC childcare center provides high quality in home childcare for childcare six weeks to 5 years in a safe, loving, environment. While teaching them the life skills and age appropriate developmental skills they need to thrive; so they can bloom into responsible, considerate, respectful, and contributing members of society.

We have parent nights, holiday party. And birthday parties for everyone enrolled.
