Philosophy
We believe that play is the primary source of learning, so our program curriculum is based on “play” being the work of children. Through play, children can actively engage in making their own choices, experiment with new materials, and explore new ideas promoting their physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual development.
The New Mexico Early Learning Guidelines are used as a framework to assess children’s growth, development, and learning. These guidelines were designed to provide reasonable expectations for children at different ages so that our early childhood professionals have criteria to refer to as they observe children in action, determine their levels of performance and plan curricular interventions to help them grow, develop and learn to their fullest potential. The Bible is used to teach basic Christian values and character. We let the children’s interest and needs guide our curriculum planning. Our teachers create experiences that help the children grow and develop. Through these experiences’ children build a skill base that ensures they are adequately prepared for kindergarten.
