Director-Paula Gorman

My name is Paula Gorman. I am a wife of nearly 30 years to my husband James. I am a parent of two beautiful young women, Ashley and Katelyn and one very personality filled dog named Khaleesi. I am also a military member with the Air National Guard. I was an educator with the public schools for twenty-seven years, before I retired. I have worked extensively with children and other educators, and I have found that I am the happiest when I am providing them, positive learning experiences. My experience has provided me opportunities to work not only with children, but also with their amazing family’s who have brought them this far. My role as a Level III, Master teacher allowed me to mentor many teachers, the children and their families as well. Ideals, morals and a child’s thirst for learning are often kindled by their role models. It begins with what a child feels and perceives in his or her own mind. It is essential that a safe and productive classroom environment be provided so that a child will be able to experience the warm feeling of accomplishment when something new is learned. It is my intention to be that positive role model for the teachers, children and families of Temple Beth Shalom. It is with great pride that I accept the opportunity to work with this strong community, to continue to provide children with the quality learning experiences they need and deserve.
